Nigel Williams-Goss – 6’3″, 175, PG, Henderson, Nv (Findlay Prep)

Already rated the best hoopster in the 2013 Class by most scouts, Williams-Goss is a Clackamas native who will be the first ever four-year player to attend storied Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada.  His father Virgil was a teammate of Beav great AC Green at Benson.  He has as priority #1 being the best player in the NBA one day,  so his family’s decision to let him attend Findlay is important for his development in that regard.

There’s not much Williams-Goss can’t do on the court.  Before he ever reached high school, he was playing with and beating the older kids in tourneys and AAU games.  He has great range one touch or off the bounce.  He has great leverage when he decides to post up whatever unfortunate guard has to cover him down low.  His first step is killer, and he elevates on his drive to either hit the floater, finish at the rim or dump it for an easy and pretty assist.  And you don’t have to take his word that he’s a lock-down defender.  He just is.

And he will only get better over his high school career.

Scary.

so how does this work Jack? is this your wishlist, or are we on this kid’s radar and vice versa?

He’s certainly on Coach Rob’s radar. But he’s being chased by a lot of programs. He was committed to UNLV before Kruger was hired away. Apparently he had a great relationship with Kruger. So OU is now in the mix because of that. UNLV is still in the mix due to their recent success, and it might help to see Mike Moser succeeding there this year. The Oregon schools get looks because it’s where he’s from. Romar is in the mix, and I’m sure he has an eye turned to the UCLA’s and UNC’s of the world if he’s ever contacted by them.
