Chris Brown – 6’11″, 245, FR, Sugar Land, Tx (Oak Hill Academy/Ocean Academy)
There’s not much to go on when it comes to Brown. He has the size to play as a D-I big. Snippets I can catch of him playing at Ocean Academy last year would have his reported weight of 245 pounds doubtful. But there has to be some skill to his game. Steve Smith at Oak Hill Academy has an extremely thorough vetting process for prospective student athletes.
With so little to go on, I wonder how little exposure to the game he’s really had. Suffice it to say that he didn’t get much face time with Tiny Gallon, MoMo Jones, Doron Lamb, Pe’shon Howard and Baye Moussa Keita on the roster. We’ll see what we have in Brown as a prospect come October.
