Sam Thompson – 6’7″, 200, SF, Chicago, Il (Whitney Young)
He has a lean, long frame which he uses to play without effort up and down the court. He has a good handle and a great first step. He can hit the open shot, and he elevates very quickly. If he’s not open, he simply has to jump in the air, and he gets to look down on the clouds. Thompson’s athleticism will allow him to continiue to be an excellent defender on the next level as well. And he’s showing the nation a growing arsenal of offensive skills as he prepares to be the leader of the 2010-11 Whitney Young campaign.
If he ends up in Coach Rob’s system, you can expect to see three or four poster shots a game… or more… on either end of the floor.
